Wednesday October 14th sees the return of BUCS (formally BUSA) to the Bournbrook with 6 teams in action at home and 2 away.

In the Saturday Leagues every team in the club has started strongly and hope to take this form into the university Competition.

After gaining a silver last year following a gut-wrenching golden goal loss to Leeds Met in the finals the Ladies 1s are odds on favourites to go a step further this year and start their campaign against Manchester. With experience coming from international Sophie Bray, Sarah Page and Kirsty Dawson and new fresh international talent from the likes of Emily Atkinson and Sarah Hyacroft the BUCS future looks bright.

The Men's 1s have also bulked out their international players this year with the addition of England U18s Ben Stone, Pete Jackson and Scott Evans as well as Scotland U21 Tom Merchant. Last years team was a young and experienced side and new captain Nils-Lloyd Penney will hope that the gained experience of a tough campaign will aid the guys in finding that elusive BUCS gold.

Other matches see the Ladies 2s take on the newly promoted Ladies 3s while the Men's 2s (on paper arguably the strongest team for years) take on newly promoted side Warwick 1s. The Mens 3s are away at Highfields to face Nottingham 1s while the 4s take the trip to Derby looking for their first ever away win against the northern team.
